At SCCS NWI, our commitment to providing great service is personal.
Specialty Cleaning and Construction Services was founded by Vinnie Nowarita and family in 2012 after experiencing the effects of water damage and a resulting mold issue.
In early 2011 Vinnie and his wife Jeannie were struggling to figure out why their three-year-old son ,Will, was constantly sick and having a hard time breathing. He was taking steroids and having to do nebulizer treatments to combat his respiratory issues. They also noticed that his seven year-old brother Mick was not feeling well. One day while cleaning the room, they noticed the carpet and drywall next to Will‘s bed were wet. Upon further inspection they found mold growing on the other side of the drywall where Will was sleeping. Luckily, they were able to find the source of the water damage that resulted in the mold growth. After a long and exhausting process they were able to get their roof, interior repairs and the mold issues remediated resulting in an vast improvement in both of their sons' health.
This experience inspired Vinnie‘s passion to help other people who are dealing with unexplained health issues, and would like to determine whether or not mold is the culprit. During his journey, Vinnie has become an expert on the types of mold that commonly grow in homes and understands their potential health effects.
SCCS NWI is proud to be one of the few independent water, fire and mold remediation companies in NW Indiana. Being independent enables SCCS NWI to provide personalized attention to clients without the limitations of a franchise or an "approved list" from insurance companies. Vinnie remains objective and unbiased in every estimate, dedicating himself to guiding clients toward the best solutions for their issues.
